Ambitions
Statement of Direction
The following outlines my near-term objectives with high school, FIRST Robotics, and longer-range aspirations after I wrap up my high school studies and transition into post-secondary education. These goals reflect both my deliberate academic plans and a continued commitment to technical development in engineering, robotics, and applied problem-solving.
Now — Graduation
High School
Engineering Program Completion
- Complete the four-year engineering pathway at Corona Del Sol with strong academic performance.
- Apply competencies developed across the program to independent passion projects prior to graduation.
Internships
- Receive mentorship and develop my engineering and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience in a professional environment.
- Attend summer programs and workshops to further enhance my technical knowledge and practical skills.
Software Platform Development
- Expand my personal web project ceve.dev with additional AI-integrated utilities that integrate and automate APIs.
- Establish a small but functional user base as a proof of independent product development capability.
CAD and Fabrication Proficiency
- Design increasingly complex mechanical assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and Onshape beyond classroom requirements.
- Apply CAD skills directly to competition-level hardware within the FIRST Robotics Competition season.
Team 6479
FIRST Robotics
Competitive Performance
- Contribute to a strong regional outcome through substantive programming and systems integration work.
- Deliver reliable, well-tested software under competition constraints and time pressure.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor incoming team members in core FIRST principles and engineering practices.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment that sustains the program beyond my graduation.
Technical Systems Growth
- Deepen proficiency in Java-based robot control, autonomous routines, and sensor integration.
- Contribute to design documentation by creating videos, diagrams, and written guides that pass down crucial knowledge from graduating members to incoming members, and build practices that improve team continuity year over year.
STEM Access and Outreach
- Design or contribute to programs that broaden access to engineering and science education in underserved communities.
- Leverage technical expertise alongside organizational experience to create structured, sustainable outreach initiatives.
College & Beyond
Long-Term Career
Post-Secondary Engineering Education
- Attend Arizona State University but remain open to opportunities out of state that can provide unique experiences and job positions.
- Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
Technical Product Development
- Develop and ship a software product with measurable utility in education, political systems, or productivity.
- Apply product engineering principles across a full lifecycle: research, design, development, and iteration.
Open-Source Engagement
- Become an active contributor to open-source projects within my areas of technical specialization.
- Progress toward maintaining projects with substantive external adoption and community use.
